what do you mean clean it up?
if you mean increase the % h2o2 it can be distilled but this is dangerous with peroxides. chemically enhanced. |

yup | |||||||
yup thats dangourus.but what i want is to remove the other 70% and end up with 90% H202 ive heard frezzing will take 3 percent up to 25-30.but that wouldent workin my situation. what aboute EtOH? then evaperating at room temp? what would be the ratio of H2O2/ether in the extract? ive read that ether wont form peroxides with H202 only h20 is this true? fume hoods are for pussys |

Ethers form peroxides when exposed to light...
Ethers form peroxides when exposed to light and oxygen (O2). Since H2O2 is miscible with water I'd say it's probably not very useful to try and extract it with ether. Look up the solubility of hydrogen peroxide in ether in Merck. And what about EtOH? How would you extract H2O2 with something that also is miscible with water? The only practical way to concentrate H2O2/H2O is by vacuum distillation IMHO, and it's a pretty perilous way to do it... |

why not just buy some? | |||||||
Its readily available and not a watched or suspcious item. Chemical supply companies carry it, stores that sell professional cleaning supplies sell it, some pool supply companies sell it, and almost any pool supply company sells 17.5% HOOH. mostly harmless |

30-35% peroxide | |||||||
In one of my books somewhere, I directed to look in the alternative heath section of certain periodicals..in particular those periodicals serving the news needs of those wanting news outside the controlled media. He's still there selling tech grade 30-35% peroxide at a reasonable price. |

Peroxygens | |||||||
Also if you know of anyone that works in the garment business you can pick some up. Generally it used when materials are dyed (I.E. the bandannas at convience stores)it is used for the bleaching of pulp. This peroxide is quite potent. While unsure of content it is atleast above 50%. I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference. |
