      Tracking Devices ?

What methods can be used to foil tracking devices in luggage if no time is available to physically do a search?

      EMP Generator

an electromagnetic pulse generator will wipe out any and all non-sheilded circuts, even if it is turned off at the time. these are kinda expensive, though. there is an EMPG in place at the pentagon; shit probably more than one. it consists of a metal detector like device that you walk thru. it wipes out any and all digital devices... including digital watches, as my friend found out. other than that, you would have to know where the device is located. its not as easy as wrapping your bag in tinfoil. RF devices these days are small and use such an inconspicuos signal. the signal is weak and the bandwidth used isnt common. the devices used to intercept the signal are very sensitive, thats why the "bugs" have such a weak signal. other than that....smile

Don't you think if I had something intelligent to say, it would bee in my post?

      well...

then your probably fucked. if someone has gone thru the trouble to put an expensive tracking device w/GPS on your auto, then they most likely have sent two armed gunmen along to waste your shit. in most instances, once you find out youve been traced/tracked, its too late. if you even have a suspicion or your just paranoid, rent a car for dangerous trips. routine is one of the most dangerous behaviours to have.wink

Nearly all rental cars have GPS devices these days. Not a good idea.
Get your hands dirty and look at your car's intestines. There aren't that many places where a transmitter could be hidden.

But when you know your car a little more intimate than the average white collar worker BEFORE such a device is placed in it then you have a good chance of finding it.

      Surveillence...

If we are talking about LE, and they are spending the kind of money tracking you that hard-core surveillence costs, then you are probably fucked (as jboogie so aptly put it).

If that is the case, stop all activities for 6 months (hey, whats six months compared to 10-20 years, right?) and wait for the heat to move on. They can't justify spending big money unless they getting something for it. And if they haven't got enough on you, you might be sweet. If they get pissed off or they got a little but not much, they might try an arrest and see what happens, keep your mouth closed and get a good lawyer.
