is there a way to measure pleasure

MRI's can measure the rate at which glucose is burnt in specific areas of the brain, given that activity in some areas and inactivity in other areas corresponds to states of "pleasure", i suppose it is possible to objectivley measure "pleasure", for instance by volume integrating the glucose activity times a local wieght factor (positive for excitorly pleasurable areas , negative for inhibitorly pleasurable areas) divided by the total volume of the brain.
while such a number would give a objective measure of pleasure the definition is still somewhat arbitrary based upon how the local wieght factor function is defined and it still assumes pleasure is a one dimensional quanitity and not better represented as multidimensional vector.
