Will Meperidine (Demerol) trigger drug tests? How does it do insufflated or sdmoked? How do the effects compare to morphine?

snorting demorol

A few months back swim had a few demorol capsules at his disposal. Swim and another friend snorted half of one each and thought our noses were going to burn off. It burned 10x worse than any K or tweak or anything and continued burning for a good half hour.
Anyone else know if the pharmaceutical companies were putting something in there to make it non-snortable or if thats really had bad meperidine burns?
