      PACIA - Oz lists update

PACIA the body responsible in australia for the evil illicit drug code has put up the new and updated (2004) release of the code for chemical and equiptment suppliers in austrlaia.

Theres not much new but its always best to have the new version so i put this to rhodium to update the pdf file on the site for ozbee reference.

What i can see as being new is the inclusion of precursors for GHB (cat 1) and the updated lists of co-operating companies.

AC do you read this as i do , that is if your not signed up to the code you don't have to follow it ? (bit like that treaty on global warming ..)It seems to be only applicable to those companies listed , a voluntry code of conduct not law ? It could be read as a positive document , a list of companies not to try ...and it's good they keep us abreast of any changes !! laugh I read that there is no leagle obligation to follow the code, just a way for the big companies to get that warm fuzzy feeling that they are doing there bit to fight the war on drugs wink

Carefull....

This is run by SIA (science industry aust) so the companies need to pay, some who are not on the list may download it like we do but simply dont join up (and hence skip fees) and still follow the code, i can bet you every chem company is aware of this document if they are part of it or not.... The LE would make sure of that.
