      just tried it

I felt inclinded to add my 2 cents to this topic since swim just tried this a few days ago.  While swim cant tell you the exact purity, swim found it very easy to see the 2 layers, and siphon off the ether layer.  It has a very strong distinct smell similar to nail polish remover (acetone?)  BTW, if you intend on huffing it...dont....its some gross shit

Actually you should see three layers. There is an oil intended for top end lubrication when this stuff is applied.. The amount of water should be at least half in half and a vigorous shaking is necessary to dislodge this oil from the ether in which it is soluble.. If shaken hard and long enough you will see this oil in between the two major layer, Extract the ether quickly because if allowed to sit for any amount of time the oil will redissolve into the ether layer..

Post 476132 (lugh: "Preparations", Newbee Forum) will give you a better route than the  starting fluid extraction.
