Potassium dichromate synth question | |||||||
You don't need to dry it, just put it into a clean beaker and add: 1) a solution of 160 g NaOH in just sufficient water and 2) approx. 350 ml of 30% hydrogen peroxide. Add the reagents carefully for that they don't splash. My question is, do you mix the hydrogen peroxide and hydroxide solution together and then add it to the chromic solution, or add them separately one after another? So, to be clear, do you add them separately at teh same time, mixed, or all of one then the next? https://www.rhodium.ws/chemistry/potassium.dichromate.html |
