yellow tint safrole | |||||||
At first run distilling sass , vacuum was not any good ,safr distilled at 201c. , but safrole has a yellow tint. any opionions on why. thanx for any help. |

I never got colored safrole after distilling. It should be clear, like water, maybe just a bit less transparent. I suggest you to get a better vacuum and to re-distill it. I would suggest using a vacuum aspirator rather than vacuum pump for distilling safrole. Easy, lots of posts, use TFSE. |

I would suggest using a vacuum aspirator rather than vacuum pump for distilling safrole Whats the difference? I would say the opposite (if the pump option is availible) so to allow lower temp distillation. -AC Its just my opinion, but no-one listens to me anyway, and rightly so... |
